Some of my lighthouse photos have been gaining attention from tourism marketers.
The Lighthouse stands alone and tall in both light and darkness and it, along with its beacon, is a focal point which symbolizes strength, guidance and safe harbor; it is a spiritual welcome mat for all those who are traveling by sea.

Conceptual Photography
I believe most artists are digging around for some kinds of truth, some semblance of meaning – a deep desire to express or reveal some small, commonly held idea(s) or sensibilities that merit further reflection or closer introspection – and for visual artists, like myself, the silence and stillness, provide the best way to make these statements. I am not drawn to the many words that would be required and my work remains in its entirety, available for contemplation.
Drawing / Painting
Drawings cannot be reduced to one literal meaning. No matter how well the different elements in each drawing can be described, the drawing as a whole cannot be captured in this way. Although the work has a definite clarity, the viewer remains uncertain and does not seem to get a clear answer. This is mainly because of the often-unexpected combinations of used images in one piece of work; fused elements that come from different origins. In a subtle way, the rational order of things is destabilized. The pleasure of surprise, that takes the work away from expectations.
Sculpture Projects
My sculpture reflects an intense relationship between myself and the material with which I am working. This relationship is based on my reactions and responses to the material, the marks I make in it, and my own ideas. I continue to learn about myself and my material as the relationship progresses. Every piece I create is an experiment. I am never sure of exactly what I am going to do, or how it may change me or my work. I never know, when I begin, what my finished piece will look like.
