Photography

My college art photography emphasis was primarily film based. I switched from film to digital in 2008 and have been a consistent Sony user. In 2011, I began working for the Mayor of Green Bay and had the opportunity to carry my DSLR with me as I followed the Mayor to more than 500 events a year. During the ensuing years, my photography skills dramatically transformed from continual practice of the craft. I have received recognition for my photos from various agencies throughout the midwest and my photos have been selected for numerous magazine covers, for local, regional, and national brands.

My photos have been featured inside and on the covers of; Lakeland Boating Magazine, Our Wisconsin Magazine, Delta Sky Magazine, Company Magazine, Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau Visitors Guide, Frankly Green Bay Magazine, Downtown Green Bay Activity Guide, Milwaukee Business Journal, AT&T Yellow Pages, Yellowbook, USANational Curling Championships Program Booklet, Wisconsin DNR annual calendar, and many others.

Graphic Design

I have been an avid Photoshop junkie since version 4.0 back in the 90s and my love of creating in the 2D realm goes back to childhood. As technology has moved forward at a rampant pace, I have enjoyed and thrived in the process of staying ahead and have honed my skills in print and digital media to expert levels. I have created work for a large and broad range of promotional campaigns over the past 20 years, ranging from rock bands to political campaigns.

Video

During my time as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the City of Green Bay, I created short videos for social media. I also planned, built, and maintained Green Bay Public Television. During this time I worked as producer, director, writer, videographer, and editor for numerous projects. Below are a few examples of my work, but you can find many more at my YouTube channel.

Website Design and Development

I began building websites in 1995 in the web wild frontier. Since then I have stayed abreast of current web trends. I have built numerous websites and content management systems in that time. Most recently, I have primarily worked with customized WordPress installations designed to work as a CMS, built with a responsive mobile ready design. Below you will find screen captures of recent projects.

3D Modeling and Printing

I have been working with 3D modeling software on and off for 15+ years. I periodically combine my 3D modeling work with photography to achieve surrealistic results. The earliest programs I worked with were Poser and Rhino, and I later beginning creating parts in CAD/CAM software to generate real world results in a machine shop. Nowadays, I monkey around with ideas in TinkerCAD or ZBrush to print on my 3D printer, a Flashforge Creator Pro.

Studio Art

My passion for the “traditional” arts began in my childhood and carried through my entire life. After reaching a certain degree of success in my adult life, I went back to college to pursue my passion for the arts. I excelled in my pursuit of this passion, as was evidenced by my graduating cum laude in Studio Arts.
